Here is what was waiting for me when I got home:
My wife said the intercooler came out of the box as she dragged it into the garage (90lbs), but the box itself was already pretty torn up:
The other box was well intact, however:
I had originally planned to take both boxes
unopened to ImagineAuto (that way I would not be responsible for any missing pieces), but
I chose to follow Christmas Gift Rules and inspect the contents of the compromised box to
make sure nothing was broken.
At least they used plenty of packing material on the top:
Yummy boosted goodness lurks inside...
Wastegate box got a little banged up. Doesn't look too serious:
Items in their own boxes remained in their own
boxes, so I wouldn't lose anything. All other pieces that were wrapped in packing
paper were meticulously unwrapped, inspected for damage, then re-wrapped.
EIP makes absolutely certain that everyone knows where your parts came from:
Place your bets on whether or not there's a big ol' EIP logo on the intercooler:
I kept it under wraps for safe transport to
ImagineAuto.
So I carefully placed all pieces in Gretchen, including the packing list for the opened
box. The other box (which should have the stainless steel 3" catback exhaust
inside) remained sealed:
This is why I prefer hatchbacks!
Got to the bottom of the box and found...a small hole:
Nothing appeared to be damaged, and I don't think
anything is missing...
